Chris Ecklund

 

Chris is a long time Sierra veteran with 20+ years of skiing and rock climbing under his belt. Chris’s resume includes 400+ routes in Joshua Tree, 300+ in Owens River Gorge, 200+ in Red Rocks, 100+ in Tuolumne Meadows, nine big walls in Yosemite, plus climbs in important areas throughout the west. Rounding out Chris’s mountaineering background he has ascents of Mt. Kenya’s North Face and Kilimanjaro in Africa, and has climbed technical routes on peaks throughout the Sierra. Chris is an AMGA certified rock guide who also guides with Yosemite Mountaineering School where he leads everything from day outings to multi day big walls.
