North Peak Couloirs

Overview

The North Peak Couloirs (Left and Right) extend over 2200 feet above the Saddlebag Lakes Basin. Both the Left and Right Couloirs are sustained 50/55 degrees offering 5-7 pitches of roped ice/rock climbing. A short Class 3 climb above the couloirs leads to a spectacular summit with views of Mono Lake to the north, and Mt. Conness, Tuolumne Meadows and Yosemite Valley to the south.
