Snow Anchors and Crevasse Rescue covers essential skills needed to climb snowy terrain steep enough warrant placing anchors for protection, or on glaciated routes.
Topics discussed include pulley systems and the application of different types of snow anchors. We will also cover related subjects such as rescue priorities and procedures, team management, and safety considerations. The advantages and disadvantages of different types of equipment will be discussed throughout the day.
This course is a great add-on to our 1-day Snow Travel School. We schedule the Snow Travel School on the previous days to this course allowing for two days of excellent training and review.
